“Take me please,” I demanded, glaring up at the ceiling.  I slammed my arms into the bed, grabbing the satin sheets tightly in my grasp.  I arched my back upwards to him.  “I want to be with you forever.” 

“With all your heart?” he asked.

Wrenching my hands together, he held them before him.  His eyes glowed, fierce.

The palms of my flesh grew numb and I froze.  In his darkened bedroom where I spent my days alone and confined, I could only hear his threatening voice.  Being with him every night was what I lived for.  I longed to be his one true love.  It didn’t matter that I was different than him.

“Yes, I want to be yours forever.”  I pulled my body to his, forcing myself off the bed as difficult as it was to do.  His hands bit into my wrists, but the pain didn’t matter.  “I’ll forsake everything to be with you.  Have I not proven that to you time and time again?”

“You have no idea what you’re asking me to do.  Drinking my blood is one thing, but turning you…”  He released my hands and I sank down again into the soft bed.

Immediately I felt his touch return.  I closed my eyes, savoring the moment.

His touch was light and deliciously teasing.  He spread my legs and took his time sliding his fingers down my stomach.  Pausing at the entrance just above my sex, he ran a fingertip around the small triangle of hair.  Then he slid two fingers inside me, instantly finding my clit with his thumb.

“You’re so wet,” he whispered in my ear.  “Perhaps you speak the truth.”

“Yes.”  I groaned, grinding my hips against his hand, letting my body become his as he sent his fingers into me.  I was willing to do anything to please him.  I dug my fingernails into his strong back, feeling the skin loosen slightly under my fingertips.  The warm, wet stickiness of his blood covered them.

“Yes, that’s it,” he growled.  “You want more?”

He slapped me hard on the thigh, growing more aroused.

I fell into the sheets of the bed, feeling a delicious tinge of electricity radiate down my leg.

Crouching above me like a tiger, he immediately reclaimed me.  He pulled me from the bed, whirled me around, and wrapped his arms around me possessively.  His fangs brushed the side of my shoulder.

Momentarily I winced in shame when I realized my shoulders had dropped forward like a coward.  I was shaking.

Suddenly he grew very still.  “I’ll release you, if you like.  And this will all be over.  If I turn you, we’ll surely go to war.  Do you understand?”  His breath was hot on my shoulder.

Gathering my strength, I locked myself into his embrace.  My head fit perfectly in the hollow between his shoulder and neck.  I settled back, enjoying the feel of his strong arms around me.

He traced his fingers down the outer curves of my body.

I could feel his heavy breathing on the back of my neck, as he held me close.  Then putting a large hand to the front of my belly, he drew me to him.

“But I can’t lose you,” he whispered in my ear.

I shuddered beneath his touch.  To be his forever.

Gently he ran his fingers across the side of my face.

I leaned into his large hand, unable to resist the sexual magnetism that made him so confident for a vampire.  My powers to fight him had steadily faded each night we made love.  I raised my chin, exposing the contours of my vulnerable neck to him, knowing it would please him if I finally surrendered.  “So be it,” I muttered.

“Even if you survive, they will kill us if I turn you.”  His fingers laced around strands of my blonde hair as it cascaded over the contours of my firm breasts.  He squeezed one of the nipples hard.

A low moan slipped past my lips.  “We could leave this place,” I whispered.  “Together.”

I immediately wrapped my hands around his cock.  He was hard as steel, yet smooth as velvet.  When he throbbed in my grasp, it sent me to my knees.

Slowly I took him in my mouth as I placed my hands behind my back, offering my complete obedience.  If it was to be my last night on earth, I wanted it to be perfect.  Surely the presence of the full moon would ensure a successful change.  But a vampire turning a werewolf?  Was it possible?

As I lavished the taste of him, moving up and down on his shaft, he spread his toned legs wider, slightly bending his knees.

Interview by Randi Fang with Amelia and Damon, both vampires, madly in love, and on the run.  Recorded May 2, 2013 at an undisclosed location.

Max and I sat for a very long time on the hood of my Porsche SUV.  I knew the two vampires were in the woods, but they didn’t want to appear.  When midnight rolled around and the full moon surfaced behind the night clouds, I knew we’d probably get to meet them.  I drove the vehicle closer to the trees, parking it with the headlights facing out towards the clearing.  We’d be able to see any presence if a demon showed up.  I knew this forest well because I had used it many times for my hunts.  It had a large ravine at the other end.  No demon would climb rocks to make a surprise appearance.  Demons were lazy and not especially bright.

I jumped out of the SUV and opened the front and back passenger doors.  Then I returned to the vehicle.  “Max,” I said as I left my driver door open.  “Get out and stand here by me.  If you smell anything weird, nudge me.  Okay?”

He did as I requested with little hesitancy, glancing back at me with his gleaming gold eyes.

I turned off the engine and the headlights.  The moon was shining, so there was some light illuminating us.  I sighed with relief.  Let’s do this, I thought to myself.  I couldn’t count the creepy ways I had met vampires for interviews.  Some could be as human as the next person, meeting in a bar or coffee shop.  Others, the really old ones, were downright weird.  Ancient, I thought.  That’s what it is.  They don’t know better.  “We need to do this people,” I said to the night.

I saw an image flash out of the corner of my eye.  Someone had hopped into the front passenger seat.  Then another weight shifted the SUV and I felt the back passenger seat fill with a presence.

“Randi?” a male voice asked.

“Yes,” I replied, feeling an overwhelming draw to his masculinity.  He was indeed a vampire, not a demon.  I breathed in slowly.  Dear lord, what have I gotten myself into.

“Sim said you could help us.”

I nodded, not moving my hands from the steering wheel.  I had learned vampires could be very jumpy if they were as panicked as I sensed these two were.  The male sitting next to me seemed very protective.  Very protective.  It flowed off of him in waves.  The female was clearly shaken, confused, and a new vampire.

“Show your fangs please,” the male vampire commanded.

I did as he requested.  The blood flamed in my veins and I felt an immediate attraction to this man without even seeing him yet.  I had heard some vampires possessed a heightened sex appeal, and this guy had it in droves.  Trying to forget a feeling of nakedness that was washing over me, I let my fangs remain visible.  Let’s do this, I shouted in my mind, wondering if the vampire could hear me.  My patience was growing very thin.  We were either going to talk or I was going to jump the man’s bones as the newbie vampire girl could watch.  I exhaled again slowly.  My blood smoothie was just kicking in.

Interview with Ally Thomas

Randi: I’ve gotta ask you straight up. What happened? You pushed the deadline for Part 4 of the Vampire from Hell series several times last year. People now wonder if you are coming back with anymore in the series. Are you?

Ally: I am coming back with the series. My heroine, Rayea is my favorite subject, hands down. I know it’s upsetting to my fans that I have taken so long to get the next installment out.  And I apologize for making them wait, but it’ll be worth it. I can tell now it’s going to be a much better installment than the one I accidentally deleted in October 2012. I’ve got my confidence back writing as Rayea.

Randi: Excuse me, did you say deleted?!

Ally: Yes. I probably shouldn’t admit this. I really nose-dived into self doubt or writer’s block last year. Deleting a book certainly didn’t help. I always thought that writer’s block was a lame excuse for a writer to use until I experienced it first hand. I’m not sure what happened after Part 3 was released last July. Maybe I burned myself out.  Getting laid off at Christmas only added more to my situation. I’m happy to say I’m writing again and that’s all that matters. I’m working on Part 4, but I’d be lying to you if I said I’ve been working on it all this time.

Randi: So you haven’t then?

Ally: I’ve been exploring new ideas and contemplating writing under pseudonyms.  While Rayea’s stories are my first love, I realized late last year that I had hit a brick wall with my writing. I needed a break and wanted a new challenge. When I accidentally deleted the old version of Part 4, I flipped out. Later I realized it was a sign. I needed to re-evaluate things. I started playing around with the idea of a paranormal romance after Christmas.

Randi: Okay, so what did you do? You’re being very vague still, Ally. Come on. Spill it!

Ally: I have several author friends who write exclusively in paranormal romance and erotica. I create covers for them and format their paperbacks so I got curious after skimming sections of their books. I wanted to see if I too could write something ‘romancy’ as I put it. My focus has been fantasy and sci-fi and that’s what I wanted to write with the Vampire from Hell series. Romance, even erotic romance is so different. My strengths are dialogue while writing description is a challenge for me. I had to write lots of description in romance so I read some ‘How To’ books and got to work. I’m not sure I’m any good at it yet, but I’m exploring. I like how different it is and I love to hear from readers. Finding out what they like about your romance ebook is very informative. Reader feedback has always been fun! I think I needed the distraction of challenging myself to write something  out of my comfort zone in order to find my way back to the Vampire from Hell series.

Randi: I thought you wrote Young Adult. You don’t consider the Vampire from Hell a YA series?

Ally: No, I don’t consider the Vampire from Hell series YA. I don’t market any of my books in that series as YA. Rayea curses a lot and talks about all of her boyfriends she has sex with. She may not go into details, but someday she might. Rayea has a complicated sex life, remember? I think of it as paranormal fantasy, not Young Adult.

Randi: So how did you approach this idea of writing a paranormal romance?

Ally: Being a movie buff, I watched a lot of romantic movies. I talked with a few romance author friends of mine a lot, so much so I probably annoyed them. Finally I figured out a story I liked, the language I wanted to use, and went with it. I did a test run (releasing a story in February) that seemed to go over nicely and now I’m back at it with another installment of the story for a release later this summer.

Randi: A test run? What do you mean?

Ally: I released the first novella under an unknown pen name., not related to my name.

Randi: Okay, I’m lost. Not Eva Thomas?

Ally: Under a different pseudonym. Different person, social networking sites, blog, website, everything. No, not Eva J. Thomas.

Randi: You are seriously sneaky. Two pen names instead of one. Wow, you have been a busy girl. What’s this other pen name?

Ally: Some people know, but I’m not telling publicly just yet. Some of my friends and street team members know. I’m only sharing the Eva J. Thomas pen name today because several of my author friends thought my story had been stolen. And they guessed the Virgin Moon cover was one I’d do. That was the sinker. I realized I needed to tell everyone what I had been up to since last summer.

Randi: So let me get this straight. You released the same story under two pen names? Eva and this secretive one?

Ally: Something like that. Two stories by two pen names. Everything is copyrighted under my name. The stories start off similar, but end up going in other directions. I played around with the plot and the sex scenes in Eva’s version are way hotter in my opinion. I will have to say that if you have read the other story (written under the unknown pen name) and you read Eva’s Virgin Moon you will see some similarity. I’ve been practicing and working up the nerve to write more explicit. That was a tough hurdle for me to jump creatively let’s say. Writing in the Romance genre has been a lot of fun and I think it’s improved my writing too. I’m more patient with description now. At least I hope I am.

Randi: Okay so we should ask our readers then if you are a reader of Ally Thomas and know this other pen name she writes under, please don’t share it online.

Ally: Yes, please. Ask them not to share it. The Eva one I’m attaching my name to so people will see that both of us are collaborating on some books. I’m sure I’ll talk about the other pen name at some point. Right now, I’m asking those who know to not share that info.

Randi: So what genre do you like writing in most then? Fantasy or Romance? Or Erotica?

Ally: That’s a great question because I’ve been wondering that myself. Possibly Fantasy and Horror are my favorite genres, but I think I’m going to say that I love the variety of writing in several genres and having the courage to do it. As an Indie Author, I can decide what I want to do and how to market my books. Somewhere along the way I lost my confidence as an author. I don’t mean I forgot how to write, but I struggled to write what I wanted to write. I thought I should write what others wanted me to do. It dawned on me a few days ago when I managed to sneak in writing on the upcoming Part 4 of the Vampire from Hell series in between a training delivery for a client just how much I love the first series I ever wrote. Looking back, it brings so many memories to mind when I published that first short story called “The Vampire from Hell (Part 1) – The Beginning” January 2011. Seven thousand words. It was an absolutely insane idea to release such a short book. Had I put that story in romance, they would have killed me over the short length and I would have crumbled under any negative reviews. But I have never regretted that move. It’s been free all this time and it’s the best move I ever made. I know that now. As an Indie Author, I can explore new avenues and ways to write every day. Also I’ve been fascinated to see that the ebook market is changing. New Indie Authors are publishing stories, novels, novellas every day defining the length. To some, 100,000 words is a novel. To another, 30,000 words is a novella. If readers are open to the experience, they get to enjoy that author’s contribution. Amazon even has this new thing called Kindle Serials where authors publish an ongoing serialization of a story idea.

Randi: Is that where the serial romance idea came from then? Your first Eva story is an ‘episode’.

Ally: Possibly. I liked the idea of a romance in episodes. As you know, I write parts of the Vampire from Hell series. Installments. I can’t write long works. Beginning/Middle/End. The traditional way. That is another confession or realization I made over these long months. I’d love to be able to sit down and write 100,000 word novel. Maybe some day I will. For now my length is anywhere from 25,000 to 55,000 words per ebook. I’ve been wrestling with trying to fit in more as an author, trying to do approaches that work for others. But it’s not me. I’m not going to write massively long books and I need to own up to that, privately and officially. I want to find that courage I had in late 2011 and approach my writing (whether it is as Ally Thomas or some other name) and than means me standing up to some personal demons I’ve been fighting with. I never realized how much it would take daily to promote myself as an author when I first started out. Now I know and I have to be ready for it so it doesn’t consume me again. I’ve gotta approach writing the way I want to or I won’t last at it.

Randi: That makes sense. It sounds like you have been figuring out a lot of things so are you ready to tell us more about Virgin Moon?

Ally: Absolutely and I included an excerpt too.

Randi: What was it like writing in a werewolf heroine?

Ally: I enjoyed it actually. I know that’s hard to imagine since we are vampire fans, but I’m starting to embrace the ‘fur’ *wink* and I had fun with Emily’s character and the transformation ideas. I’m excited to see where it takes me for this story.

Excerpt from “Virgin Moon” (A Werewolf/Vampire Serial Romance, Episode #1) – ADULT CONTENT WARNING
“Are you a virgin?” Vincent ran his hands through his shortly cropped wavy black hair and scratched his scruffy beard, obviously waiting for me to respond in some fashion. I noticed he stared for a few moments at my opened thighs. His shirt was the only clothing I had on. Finally he crisscrossed his hands behind his head and simply watched me.
I wanted to lie and say that I wasn’t a virgin, but drinking in his handsome presence, I couldn’t deny him the truth. I wouldn’t be able to deny him anything I realized. My heart again shattered when he said my name. I moaned as his large hands found my neck. He tugged lightly on my hair as he plunged his hands into the cascades of my long curly blond hair. My neck extended upwards and I was forced to look away from him. I was held captive in his embrace. His hands held me powerless as he gripped the back of my neck and the small of my back. The safety of the shirt I wore failed me and the front of my body was clearly exposed to this man, this vampire. My face reddened with shame and I forced my eyes open, looking upward. The lighted design of the warrior with his wolf returned my gaze. It was the most beautiful artwork I had ever seen. An offering of harmony between the two supernatural beings. Was such a thing possible? Instantly I felt my body relax under the vampire’s touch.

EXCERPT from Desire:

My first interview is with a vampire we will call ‘Rose.’  I’m not going to ‘out’ her and tell you who she is.  You may have read her blog because, like me, she is online a lot and she loves to write or blog I guess.  If you haven’t read my blog, I can tell you her father was demon, one of the seven Princes of Hell actually and he turned her.  Soon after their relationship ended badly.  Probably because she ripped his heart out.  Literally.  We vampires tend to have an issue with anger management.

She doesn’t have a loving relationship with her family.  Even before killing her father, she was the outcast.  Her friends, human and vampire alike, have become the people she cares about.  Her real family.  Our first interview is below.

Interview Begins

Interview by Randi Fang with ‘Rose,’ blogger, vampire, lover of mankind.  Recorded September 15, 2011 at a café in Union Square, San Francisco, CA.

Me:  Hi Rose, thanks so much for joining me for this interview.  I really appreciate your being available.  You’re very kind to open up your busy schedule for me.

Rose arched an eyebrow at me and did that infamous clicking noise with her teeth.

Rose: What are you talking about?  I see you all the time.  Why are you acting like we don’t know each other?

Me:  I’m an idiot.  I’m sorry.  Have you thought about what I asked you to do?

Rose:  Coming up with a few confessions I can share with your readers?

Me:  Yes.

Rose:  I have actually.  I have one to tell you about really.  A juicy one.  I hope this is what you are looking for.  It’s not too freaky.  You said to not start with anything freaky, right?

Me:  That’s right.  That sounds great!  But just one?  I thought you’d have more than that.

Politely I smile at Rose as I notice her green eyes sparkle brilliantly in the low light setting of the cafe.  I arrived early and found a table for us in the back away from the holiday crowds.

Rose nodded and dipped her finger in the cup of green tea sitting before her.  I motioned to a waiter and pointed at my empty cup of soda.

Rose: I wasn’t sure what I wanted to tell you at first, so I thought one would work for now.  I can give you more later.  You know?  So what are we supposed to do here?

Me:  You talk and I’ll record.  I may ask you a question or two here or there, but I don’t want to interrupt you to break the flow of the story.  Okay?

Rose’s green eyes grew lazy as she studied me.  Hastily she dried off her index finger and reached for her iPhone when a text message came in.

Rose:  Just a second.

She pushed up the sleeves of her long black fitted knit top.  I noticed the skull image on the front of the shirt looked oddly out of proportion.  Rose is a very attractive lady, even though she doesn’t spend a lot of time on fixing herself up.  It’s a natural sort of beauty, high cheekbones, full lips, a little button nose, long shiny black hair, and a toned physique held in a slender frame for her 5’ 9” height.  I surmised to look away before I become more envious.  If she was bi-curious at all, I’d invite her to some of my events, but I knew better than to bring it up.  Rose loved the cock.  Period.

I glanced up at Rose as she held a hand in front of me, staring at her phone as her thumb blurs in motion.  I flipped through my notebook hoping to pretend I was looking at my questions instead of her beauty.

The waiter brought me a fresh soda and I noticed Rose’s attention shifted to the table.

Rose: How can you drink that stuff?  It looks nasty and it hisses.

Me: How can you drink blood tea?

I pointed to the greenish yellow liquid in her cup.

Me:  My beverage looks weirder than that?

She rolled her eyes at me, a gesture I have seen on more than one occasion.  Briefly she nodded and ignored me as she resumed playing with her phone.  I waited for her to respond to a few more text messages and emails.  Then I took my life in my own hands.  The legends about Rose being a vampire who had tasted angel and god blood intrigued me.  I knew she was far more powerful than I’d ever hope to be, but as our interviews began I had to test the boundaries I had with her.

Me:  You’re going to have to turn that off.  I need your full attention.

I raised a knowing eyebrow at her and let a devilish grin cross my face.

Me:  Please.

She shook a finger at me and I bit my lip briefly when I witness the length of her long nail.  It reminded me of a hawk’s talon.  My fangs are not nearly as long or impressive, but I pressed my luck a little further.

Rose:  Nice try.  I’ll mute it.  That’s the best I can do.  If I miss one task from my superiors, there will be Hell to pay.  You get me?

Me:  Fair enough.  I thought it was worth a try.

I smiled at her without letting my eyes engage hers and realized that this interview was going to be a tough one with distractions.   Getting the first story would have to be enough for now.  Rose was a very complicated vampire, one who thought she was out to save the world, a mission I would never want to assume.

She sensed my concern immediately and patted me on the hand, knowing I’ll like it.

Rose:  Pussycat, I wrote everything down.  You can sit there and sip your fizzy drink and just listen.  How’s that?

Me:  Perfect.

I relaxed, putting the heels of my black leather books on the rung of the chair next to her, and pushed the Record button on my device.

Rose:  I hope it’s okay.  I decided to change the players’ names.  So I wouldn’t be discovered.  Is that fine?

I nodded ‘yes,’ and then raised the cold soda to my lips.  Rose was the James Bond of all vampires.  I knew better than to disagree with her on even the slightest issue.

Rose:  After our talk the other day about what makes us, vampires tick, I think I have to agree with you.  It’s blood and sex.  Either is on my mind every minute of the day unless someone is trying to kill me or harm a friend of mine.  So that’s what this first story is about.  Does that work for you?

Again I nodded approvingly.
