MATURE ADULT CONTENT – These stories, featuring vampires and werewolves, are for mature audiences only. They contain adult language, violence, and strong sexual content including some light bondage situations. All characters depicted in these stories are 18 years or older, and all sexual activities are of a consensual nature.

Gently he ran his fingers across the side of my face.

I leaned into his large hand, unable to resist the sexual magnetism that made him so confident for a vampire.  My powers to fight him had steadily faded each night we made love.  I raised my chin, exposing the contours of my vulnerable neck to him, knowing it would please him if I finally surrendered.  “So be it,” I muttered.

“Even if you survive, they will kill us if I turn you.”  His fingers laced around strands of my blonde hair as it cascaded over the contours of my firm breasts.  He squeezed one of the nipples hard.

A low moan slipped past my lips.  “We could leave this place,” I whispered.  “Together.”

I immediately wrapped my hands around his cock.  He was hard as steel, yet smooth as velvet.  When he throbbed in my grasp, it sent me to my knees.

Slowly I took him in my mouth as I placed my hands behind my back, offering my complete obedience.  If it was to be my last night on earth, I wanted it to be perfect.  Surely the presence of the full moon would ensure a successful change.  But a vampire turning a werewolf?  Was it possible?

As I lavished the taste of him, moving up and down on his shaft, he spread his toned legs wider, slightly bending his knees.

About Me

I split my time between being a stay-at-home mom and reading paranormal romance. I think good romance should make you purr while good steamy romance should make you scream, but in a good way of course. Because I love vampires AND werewolves, I wanted to write a series featuring both, and see what naughty situations they find themselves in. I’m currently writing a novella series called My Vampire Lover with a blend of paranormal romance, fantasy, and erotica featuring, you guessed it, vampires and werewolves.

If you liked this snippet and want to learn more about my novella series, My Vampire Lover, please visit my Amazon Author page at Amazon US or Amazon UK. If you stop by either Amazon page, please give it a Like. Thanks!

Redemption (My Vampire Lover Part #2) – The story continues. Before Caroline fell for her vampire lover, she met Raphael, a warrior of the Dark realm under difficult circumstances. Raphael’s father, the dark lord Asmodeus is killing off her family and presents Caroline as a pet to Raphael. Caroline has secrets of her own as to why she let herself be taken and wonders if the vampire willing to help her escape is an enemy or friend. Realizing he must take action, Raphael works quickly to persuade the werewolf beauty who has claimed his heart to leave with him at once if he has a chance of setting her free.

Day of Reckoning (My Vampire Lover #3) – Releasing Late Winter 2013

Caroline has been granted permission by the Moon Goddess to seek revenge on Raphael’s father, the dark lord Asmodeus.  She will have her day of reckoning.  But Raphael is not about to let his werewolf beauty return to the Dark realm without him.  Both must assume certain roles while they plot their actions and protect one another from the dangers awaiting them.

Meet My 10 favorite things about Halloween:

Halloween is my favorite time of year. I love how the leaves turn color and the air crisp. Suddenly it’s okay to wear purple and green together, spider earrings and fishnet hose. I have loved the season since I was a kid, and can only assume it stems from the same place as my love of paranormal romance. Werewolves, vampires and Daemons, oh my! Here are my favorite things about Halloween, add anything to the list you feel I have missed. (Oh and you will note, dressing up in sexy little costumes is not on the list. That is deliberate, because those can and should be worn year round under the right circumstances…wink, wink.)

1. Racing my kids through Cornmazes

2. Pumpkin flavored lattes

3. Fancy fake eyelashes

4. Walking through Haunted houses with my eyes only half open, holding on to husbands sleeve to guide me.

5. Singing the song Thriller at the top of my lungs

6. Sorting through my kids candy and picking out my favorite pieces, then guilting them into letting me have them.

7. The absolutely only time of year I am inspired to bake cookies, just to warm up the house without actually turning the heat on yet.

A storm that spelled danger flashed across Sam’s face. He advanced on Megan so fast, she backed up against the side of the Suburban. Planting a hand firmly on each side of her, he pinned her with his arms as well as his gaze.

“What I want? Are you so hard headed you can’t tell what I want?” He covered her mouth with his lips and crushed her clever comeback with an assault on her senses.

Megan pushed him, but he didn’t budge. Instead, he continued to kiss her until her heart raced and cheeks flushed with need. All resistance melted and she succumbed to the warmth of his embrace. It has been over a year since Part 3 – A Vampire on Vacation was published in July 2012.  Since then I have not released anything related to this series.  That’s a startling, and sobering fact, for me – even for my readers maybe– because for many months last year, I did not know if I’d return to writing this series.  I didn’t know if I’d keep writing at all.

With that being said, I have returned to the keyboard and will be releasing “The Vampire from Hell Returns (Part 4)” next month on Oct. 20th. (Join the Facebook Release Party.)  I’m very excited to continue Rayea’s story, at least for three more installments, and I’m delighted to say that, for bad or worse, I’m past the first obstacle I encountered during my first year of writing.  And I’m not looking back.  It may not always be smooth sailing from now on, but that’s okay because I’ll keep sailing.  I’m hoping many of you will join me for the ride.

This excerpt features Michael, the arch angel Rayea (vampire heroine) falls for. I based Michael’s character on Alexander Skarsgard of course. Enjoy! ~ally

A drop of blood from my busted lip landed on Michael’s white T-shirt.  I groaned with pleasure.

“When was the last time you fed this vampire?” Michael asked.

Hearing the word ‘vampire,’ my attention snapped back to Michael’s face, and I snarled at him.  I wanted to devour this angel in my sights.

“You’ve got some long fangs there, Vampire.  What are those?  An inch and a half, maybe two?”  Michael managed a small, tentative smile despite the threat I posed.316796_250841628301339_240931305959038_771410_1598242809_n

I watched his every move, ready to strike, but feeling a force hold me back.  “Blood,” I replied.  I could hear it pumping in his veins, through his temples, and down the side of his neck.  His pulse reminded me of the waves slamming against the rocks.  An image of my rocking in his lap to that rhythmic dance surfaced in my mind, riding him, grinding against him over and over until…  To have him inside me, I thought.

The voice inside my head said, “Grab your popcorn!  This is gonna be good!

“Rayea, please calm down,” Blick interjected as he carefully approached us.  “We can’t make a scene.”

“I think it’s a little late for that,” Michael said.

“What do we do?” Blick asked him.

“I told you she needs blood.”

I nodded, staring at Michael.  Yes, she does, I thought.  That and a lot more.

The voice inside my head asked, “She needs blood!  Why did we not think of that before?

“You’re right.  God, I’m an idiot!  I’m the worst guardian angel ever!” Blick exclaimed, throwing up his hands.  “But she can’t have mine or yours for that matter.  J won’t approve it.”  He collapsed in a chair, behind Michael, shaking his head.  “Rayea, I’ve failed you.”

Michael looked over at him.  “Get a grip, man.  We move to Plan B.  Grab those items and I’ll take her to the living room.”

“Tasssty,” I hissed and smacked my lips when I witnessed Michael’s adam’s apple showing as he leaned his head back to speak to Blick.

Cautiously returning his attention to me, Michael said, “Look into my eyes.” The warmth of his smile echoed in his voice.  I stared at him, mesmerized by the ocean-blue color of his eyes.  Instantly, I felt relaxed, sane, and willing to submit to his will.

Great, the vampire is going googoo for the angel.

Shut up, I snapped at the voice inside my head.  He’s adorable. I sighed and returned his smile.

“If this doesn’t work, you can ask Gabriel to help out,” Michael said to Blick.

“Not funny,” Blick said.

Michael shrugged.  Sweeping me off the table, he gathered me in his arms and announced, “Let’s do this.”

Without any resistance, I floated into the living room as the angel carried me.  Isn’t he dreamy? I thought.

The voice inside my head responded, “You better latch your mouth around something on that angel or I will!

Michael positioned me on the large, comfy leather couch.  He was talking to me, but I didn’t pay any attention.  I was fascinated with the movement of his arms, the way his neck curved from side to side as he and Blick conversed.  I looked at Blick, and then Michael many times as I admired how both angels were attractive in their own right.  Were all angels beautiful? I wondered.  The roar of the ocean called me and I let the feeling pull me under into a heavenly bliss.

About Ally Thomas

When I’m not running the AS Fan Blog or skarsgarding, I spend time writing fiction. I actually created a vampire angel character based on Alexander Skarsagrd. His name is Michael and he’s in Part 2 of my series, the Vampire from Hell (which is available as a free download)Part2_AllyThomas_sm

I’m an avid reader of fantasy and paranormal romance novels. I like writing about vampires, werewolves, zombies, witches, and any fuzzy monsters who go bump in the night. In my stories, I try to imagine new origins for these traditional creatures and see where it takes me.  Currently I’m writing the Vampire from Hell series. Excerpt from “Love Begins in Hell (The Moon Journals: Part 1)

As the large figure came into view, I exited the closet, took aim and threw the first knife of several across the room. I stood behind the massive bed, using it as a bunker. This demon was not going to take me alive.

The figure grunted, slumping slightly to the ground.

I heard the weapon I had thrown at him fall to the floor.

My aim was bad and had not found the demon’s heart. I was at a great disadvantage. “You stay back, demon!” I shouted, hoping to sound far more threatening than I’m sure I appeared to be. “I’ve got more where that came from!” I was maybe one hundred pounds. Cold, scared, and weak from hunger, I was half of that I was sure. Or at least I felt like that. Adrenaline and self-preservation would have to see me through.

“Do your worst,” the tall figure announced. “However, I’d like to ask if I may turn on a few lights before you continue your attack. If you don’t mind?”

He mocked me, which should have infuriated me even more, but I held my position and watched as he illuminated the room. He flipped a few switches by the door frame, and the room took on a blue hue as if it had been bathed in the soft, gentle lights from beneath the sea.

I looked up at the ceiling just as the wooden beams filed away to two corners. “How did you do that?” I gasped, forgetting my defensive stance all together.

“I can’t handle fluorescent lighting, so I had these installed. Blue and green are my favorite colors actually, even though I wear a lot of black. Here let me show you one more thing. I just had this done.”

He raised his well-toned arm upwards and pressed a button at the top of the door frame.

I blinked my eyes several times, getting used to the various colors I saw forming on the ceiling. An image was being constructed.

The lighted design was magnificent and astounded me. A variety of shades of blue, green, and purple illuminated behind the picture of a fierce dragon. The dragon, with its head held high and proud, stood on a set of rocks jutting out from the edge of a cliff. A strong image of a strong creature preparing for battle. Why would a demon have such an image promoting such a great warrior animal like the dragon fashioned on the ceiling of his bedroom? It didn’t make sense.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. Is that you?”

“More or less. My friend, Orlando created it and installed it for me. I’m not really an admirer of art or paintings. I’m more interested in books, mythology really, but Orlando thought this would dress up my bedroom. I mainly like it for the quiet motivation it gives me. Each day is a test and it challenges me to focus on what is important. It helps me remember, despite everything, who I could one day become.”

“A dragon?” I blurted out. “Surely you don’t mean that. You’re a demon.” I had never heard of demons being shapeshifters. This guy had as much chance of shifting into a dragon as I did of shifting into a bar of chocolate.

Instantly he crossed the room towards me. He had his large hands wrapped around my elbows before I could grab another knife. I was pinned against his solid chest. The minute our eyes met, a bolt of lightning felt like it had ricocheted through my body. My eyes widened as he let me go and I wrapped my arms tightly around my body, so I wouldn’t fall. He staggered for a moment too as if he’d been hit by the same burst of energy.

The immediate recognition of a soul mate was something that did not occur outside the pack. It had to be a mistake. But was it? It felt so real. In that second, I re-evaluated my course of action.

“I’m not a demon. I’m a warrior,” he replied as he put some distance between us. “My mother is human, so I’m only half-demon.” He retreated to the table and sat down. He remained quiet for some time. Finally he added, “If you must know, I prefer to be called a warrior above all else.”

I thought about asking a second question like ‘Who kidnapped me?’ but I remained silent. It didn’t really matter as long as I found my sister and aunt, and we made it out. They had been missing for weeks. I had heard of a demon mating with a human and bearing a shape-shifting child, but I didn’t think it was possible. Just a myth. Werewolves were the only shapeshifters I knew of. My disbelief in his dragon warrior dream seemed to have gravely offended him, and I didn’t want to upset him again. Instead, I wanted to comfort him. Why would I want to do that? He was the enemy. I opted to be nice. My sassy attitude would get me nowhere with him.

“I like the ceiling painting,” I offered.

“Thank you. It’s very nice, isn’t it?”

“Do you have a name?” I abruptly stopped before I insulted him again.

“Dante.”

I waited for him to ask my name. He studied the table instead.

“I’m Elana.”

“Elana.” He repeated my name slowly and carefully as if it was a foreign word he didn’t want to forget.

“Your name is very unique.” A few compliments couldn’t hurt. “What does Dante mean?”

“I’ve never thought to look it up. I don’t know.”

I watched as he drew a few curves and lines along the table, absent-mindedly tracing something. “If my memory serves me right, I think Dante means protector.”

He grunted.

Knowing I’d probably upset him again if I said it too loud, I mumbled under my breath as I attempted to process the realization. “Dante, the demon protector. Wasn’t that an oxymoron?”

“No, it isn’t,” he answered. “You forget. I have excellent hearing too. You don’t have to insult me. What does your name mean?”

I threw the second knife flew and watched as it slammed into the wooden table, a few inches from his hands.

He didn’t flinch one inch.

“Freedom,” I announced as I swiftly bent over to retrieve another knife lying on the bed.

“Well that’s good. Freedom for Elana. I like that.” There was a trace of laughter in his voice. He paused for a moment before he continued. “I’m sure you do too.” A few more moments of silence passed, then finally he said, “I know this is highly unorthodox, and you’re in an extremely frightening situation. But before we go any further, I want to put your mind at ease. I’m not interested in harming you. I know you are a werewolf and probably of great importance to your people. I’m going to try to get you out of here, but you’re going to have to trust me. It’s as simple as that. Do you think you can do that?” He yanked the knife from the table and with an ironically tender touch, he bent the blade into a slight arch, disabling it so it couldn’t be used for another but holding a bunch of grapes or large orange. I swallowed hard so my mouth wouldn’t fall open. This demon could kill me in an instant.

Suddenly a vision from my wolf state hit me. I recognized his voice. I’ll help you get out of here, but you’ve got to trust me. I closed my eyes and relived the moment again. Over and over again, that voice. A ripple of awareness surged through me. His voice was the same as the man who had come to me to console me in my agitated wolf state. It was deep, almost sensual, yet tranquil and protective. This demon before me had calmed me. “The wolf chant. That was you?”

“Yes.”

“What did you say?”

He paused for a moment, digging his long nail into the wood of the table.  “You were very upset.”

“What did you say?”

“That’s not really important, is it?”

“I insist,” I replied with my polite tone I used when I wanted it to be known I expected to get what I sought.

He chuckled.  His laugh was low and throaty.  “I’ve seen pomp and circumstance from my father.  You don’t have to take that tone with me.  There is no need for us to be enemies.”

I attempted to soften my insistence.  “I’m sorry.  Please then.”

“Don’t apologize.  Let’s keep this on a level playing field.  I’ll treat you as an equal, and you treat me as one.  Okay?”

His confidence was infectious.  He didn’t have the disposition of a demon at all.  My aunt had said they were horrible creatures with no feeling, no remorse, and no compassion for others.

“Fair enough,” I whispered, only realizing a second later that I had not fully enunciated the words.  Clearly this young man had not kidnapped me so why was I in his presence?  Did he know who had kidnapped me?  Maybe he could lead me to the person?  Equals?  Why would he say we were equals?  My father, the Werewolf King, certainly didn’t think like that.  Dante’s words and actions of kindness and hospitality thoroughly confused me.  As a sign of good faith, I placed the weapons down before me on the bed, noticing in passing the letter ‘D’ carved into the blade of each knife.

“A beauty like no other.  So beautiful.  Calm yourself.  Calm yourself, my sweet.  I’m not going to let anyone hurt you.”

“I’m sorry?  What did you say?”

Dante repeated his words for my benefit.  “A beauty like no other.  So beautiful.  Calm yourself.  Calm yourself, my sweet.  I’m not going to let anyone hurt you.”

No demon would know how to practice Wolfen Magic,” I replied.  I observed his new nervousness.  His mood had shifted, and he refused to look at me as he continued to scratch at the table.

“I’m not a demon.  I’m a warrior.”  He glanced at the ceiling, looking again at the lighted design of the dragon.  “I thought we covered that?”  His tone was very gentle even though I saw the muscles in his jaw twitch a few times.

“Dante, the protector, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” I curtsied, trying to appear more of a lady than I felt as well as lighten the mood.

EXCERPT from Redemption (The following excerpt is for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY)
He smiled at me smugly and focused his attention on my hips.  I followed his gaze.  He wrapped both of his hands around mine as I held his cock against my naked belly.  He stroked my hands, and then opening up the palms of his large hands, he quietly encouraged me to assume the task.  When I took charge, he mumbled, “You’re stronger than you think.”
A fever of blushes covered my face.  “Oh my goodness, did I hurt you?”  I wanted to blush again, but his declaration, that he felt something quite literally when he had met me surfaced in my mind and sent me into oblivion.  True love.  I gazed up at him, marveling at the look of pleasure on his face.  True love.
He moaned and rocked his hips gently into my hands.
I rubbed the head of his cock with my thumb, feeling a sweet stickiness at the tip.
Raphael moved his hand between my thighs and rubbed my clit, his fingers pumping inside me a few times.
My hips met his movements and I groaned, feeling the warmth of his manhood slide between my legs.
“I don’t want to control these feelings I have for you.”  He gathered me up in his arms.  “I don’t know where they came from.  Maybe it was the wolf chant that did it.  I don’t know for sure, but I know I feel this.”
A slight smile crossed his lips.  He embraced me tightly and then picked me up in his arms.
I placed my hand over his heart.  “True love,” I whispered as the words expelled out of my mouth in the form of a few short breaths.  Could it be?
“This can’t be wrong, Caroline.  I don’t want to deny the possibility of the love we can have.  Say you agree?”
“I think I already love you, Raphael.  I’ve never known anyone like you.  You’re a glorious, magnificent vampire.”
When I felt his easing himself into me, my body melted.  “Oh my god, yes,” I cried out.  “Yes!  Yes!” Wanting to increase our pace, I started to ride him with a newborn intensity.  The warmth of his blood raced through my veins.  “I’m yours,” I cried out.  “I’m yours!”
“Shh,” he said.  “Don’t listen to my blood.  I don’t want you to be my servant or blood source.  Equal.” With his muscular arms, he brought me up and down a time or two, shifting the rhythm of lovemaking to a slower urgency.  “I want us to be equals.  I want to cherish this moment forever.  I want to look in your eyes as I’m inside you and know if we are never to be together again we had this one moment, out here in this wasteland.”
“By this rock,” I purred, letting him assume control.
“Not too fast, my sweet.  Savor this feeling.”
I smiled down into his striking, pale blue eyes, watching how they glowed in the low light.  His dark eyelashes fluttered now and again, but he refused to take his eyes off of me as we made love in such a desolate place.  I grew hotter by the minute witnessing the desire in his stare.  I studied him.  There was an inherent strength in his features, almost a haughtiness I could visualize him giving to others he disliked. For me, in that moment, that strength was etched across his face with a look of devotion and confidence I had never seen before.  The turquoise blue in his eyes brought out a growing passion I could see that was all for me.  This could be my destiny, being with this man forever.  If I was as bold as I had just been taking him in my hands, a future with this vampire could be in my grasp.  But it meant sacrificing everything. Just for him.
When I felt myself about to climax, my head fell backwards and I gave myself up to him completely.  I let him lead the way and delighted in the ecstasy of his deliberately slow pace.  Waves of warmth rushed through my body as I neared orgasm.  I’ll remember this moment forever.
“Slowly, my sweet.  Slowly.”
I screamed the first time I came.  His hands rhythmically worked my hips up and down on his cock, refusing to stop.  He increased the speed of his movements ever so slightly.  I was helpless to stop his lovely hastened pace.  My heart raced rapidly and I wanted to slam my body into his, feverishly, insanely, erotically like I was in control of him, like he was there to please me and only me.
“Shhh,” he said.  He gathered me close against his chest.  “That’s the blood talking.  Don’t listen to that. It’ll pass.  Focus on this.”  He pulled me upwards and let me slide down again on his massive manhood. “Come for me again, Caroline.”

EXCERPT from Conquest (This excerpt is also for MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY)

I felt his warm, wet tongue dart in my mouth, sucklingly my bottom lip. A sting of pain surfaced.

I shrieked, quickly pulling away from him.

He held me fast in his arms. Our eyes locked.

Again I tasted the sweetness of blood, but this time it was my own. Carefully, I licked my bottom lip where he had bitten me.

Another gleam from the moon shone upon his face, his bright eyes sparkled with a savage knowledge beyond lust and desire, one of sheer hunger. He would be mine.

Before I could stop him, he slashed at his well-toned chest with his nails. Lines of blood formed across his muscles.

“Drink of me.”

Then he resumed fucking me fiercely, refusing to stop.

I stared at the streams of blood rolling down his chest as I rode him. The wolf in me instantly awoke. Warm rushes of power and hunger rose up in me. The wolf was coming for me and I wouldn’t be able to deny him.

“Let it go,” my vampire lover whispered into the night. “Drink of me. I’ll make you queen when Father dies and we’ll rule this kingdom together despite them.”

The moon bathed him in its lush glow and I couldn’t resist marveling at his naked form. He was exquisite. His thick, muscular chest glistened with blood and sweat and I held on to his shoulders as I drove my hips down upon his, feeling his magnificent cock serge deep inside me. Each stride I took sent me ever closer to him forever. I took his mouth with a savage intensity I had never known and then I lavished my kisses upon his chest, licking his blood and sweat in long, broad laps.

We will be together.

I leaned my head back, exposing my neck completely. “Do it. Do it now. He’s here!”

Answering my request, he pulled me into his embrace and sank his teeth into my neck.

I cried out, instantly thrusting myself upwards to meet his fanged kiss. A flood of raw, electrifying sensations exploded inside me and multiple orgasms rocketed through me.

He lifted me slightly off the bed and he drank from me, holding me gently in his arms the whole time.

I pressed my back into his firm hands and focused on meeting his tempo as I rode him. The room began to spin. Blood trickled down my chest, running past my belly button and along the inside of my thighs. A delightful shiver of fear passed through me as my vampire shuddered and came inside me. I will be his.

Here’s a snippet from Comanche Haven.

“Lying very still, Seth tried to quiet his mind. The stars, the same ones they’d laid under so long ago gleamed like jewels in the ink black sky. Seth couldn’t help but brood. He could still remember their first kiss so long ago, and how Celia had raised her beautiful chin, gazing at him with such trust and innocence. Her face was in his hands before he’d realized it. Gently, he brushed his thumb across her lips. Lowering his head, he hesitated just a moment and then his lips took hers. They were so soft. She felt warm and pliant in his arms. He could feel the yielding of her young body, and the rush of blood to his loins. It was his intention to kiss her but the desire, which washed over him, was staggering. He felt as if he were drowning. She sighed, and he covered her mouth with his once more and breathed her in.”

Talking with Sharon Hamilton, Author of Mortal Bite

Mortal Bite by Sharon HamiltonI’m very excited to have best-selling author Sharon Hamilton on my blog today. While she writes a hot Navy SEAL series that has gone on to sell in the Amazon Top 100 lists since last summer, today she will be telling us about her Golden Vampires of Tuscany series.
On Valentine’s Day, she released Mortal Bite (with the yummy red cover). I’d like to thank Sharon again for being on my blog!
What is Mortal Bite About?

Golden Vampire Paolo Monteleone begins raising a son he did not know he fathered, after the murder of the boy’s mother. He meets a beautiful human college professor, Carabella Sampson, at a Halloween costume ball. She is an expert on vampire lore, but doesn’t believe in their existence. Paolo dresses up as himself: a vampire.

A dark coven leader has targeted her for elimination, before she can reveal secrets of the Golden Vampire lineage she has obtained from an ancient book. Can there be a happily ever after if either his lover or his young son has to pay the ultimate sacrifice to protect the Golden Vampire race? And will he be able to live with himself if he has to choose between them?

Featured Guest – Victoria Embers

This week our featured author is Victoria Embers and I’m very excited to have her on my blog today. She has recently released her first short story called “Conquest” and I can tell you it is one hot read! But I will have to admit it left me wanting more. At only 2,500 words, it’s a quick read!

I asked Victoria several questions in this interview for my blog. First let’s get some housekeeping items done.

ADULT CONTENT WARNING: Please note the excerpt in this post contains adult content and is not suitable for an audience younger than 18 years old.

Now for the fun stuff…

Now on to the interview:

Ally: Thanks for being on my blog, Victoria. I think you are the second author I’ve featured who writes about vampire erotica. Actually the second author this week. We had Alexandra Anthony on my blog Monday.

Victoria: I saw that! I can’t wait to read her third book next month. I’m a big fan! Hey and thanks for creating my book cover, by the way. I love it!

Ally: You’re welcome. So I need to ask you before we learn more about your series, what is an erotic short story series and why did you decide to release your stories separately and not in one full book?

Victoria: That’s a great question, and by the way, thanks so much for letting me be on your blog. It’s my second stop on my blog tour if I can say I am on a blog tour. Yes, I’m writing my series, My Vampire Lover as a serialized series of short stories. I have the attention span of a ferret and I have heard other Indie authors say that it is very tough to write a full 80,000 or 100,000 offering of an ebook. I learned recently that an ebook that size is called an Epic. That was too scary for me and too much pressure and I am a very impatient person when it comes to getting tasks done. So with that in mind, I thought releasing each story separately would be something I could accomplish, start small and build on it. Does that make sense?

Ally: It does actually. I started my Vampire from Hell series off with a short story. So you feel confident in this approach then?

Victoria: Yes, I think so. I decided after a lot of soul searching to put myself out there in the sea of Amazon in a little boat, instead of a big boat. Lol! All I can do is try, you know? I’m hoping to release a short story each month to readers, around the end of the month.

I think it’ll be a very exciting experience for both me, as a writer and the reader. I’m hoping if the reader is ready for my approach and that they will enjoy the anticipation of getting the next story, without having to wait too long. And I’ll get to learn more about what they think of the recently released story and get feedback. I like interacting with my friends on Facebook and other social networking sites, so I hope I get feedback from anyone who starts reading my series, My Vampire Lover. You know? It’s going to be fun.

Ally: The interaction from readers is a really exciting concept. I get feedback from my readers all the time. Do you think you may shape the story depending on comments you get from readers?

Author Photo

Victoria: You know, why not? I think it may be a fun approach. I know I remember reading in school about how authors wrote for magazines and if the public liked a story or didn’t when it came out a month before, the author would re-shape or revamp, if I can use that word here, re-vamp the next story. I have no idea where this story of Caroline and Raphael is going, so I like that idea. Yes, readers can share their feedback with me.

Ally: How long do you think each story will be? Who will tell the story? I know in this first story, Conquest your female lead is a werewolf. Will she tell the story?

Victoria: I plan for each story to be one scene or a few scenes, averaging around 2,500 to 5,000 words each. I’ve only written the first story so far of course, so we shall see. I’m working on the second one now. Originally I thought Caroline, my werewolf heroine who is kidnapped by her vampire captor who turns into her lover, would tell the story. It is called “My Vampire Lover,” but now I want to have each story go back and forth. I think that will be more fun. Caroline has told the first story from her point of view in “Conquest.” The next story will be told by her vampire lover. I like the name Raphael. He will tell the next story.

Ally: What is Conquest About?

Victoria: In the first short story, Caroline, a werewolf and golden guardian of the realm, has discovered a new love in her vampire captor. She’s willing to risk everything, even her life, to prove to him she loves him and has forsaken all others including her family and her pack.

Ally: What were the challenges (research, literary, psychological, and logistical) in bringing it to life?

Victoria: Oh gosh, that’s a good question. I’d have to say the subject matter since I’m writing erotic stories. I like to call them Vampire Erotica.

Ally: Why’s that?

Victoria: I think it needs to be its own genre actually. Vampires are sexy, lusty, loveable creatures, but they are dangerous and deadly too. I like vampire stories that explore that aspect, the real side of vampires. To me, sex and lusting for blood go hand in hand. Vampire erotica is a good way to describe my stories.

Ally: What motivates you to write?

Victoria: I love having a blog and writing. I didn’t decide to actually try to get published until I heard about self-publishing. When I realized I could write a document in Microsoft Word, format it, and pretty much a few days later it would be live on Amazon. That’s when I decided to give it a try. It’s amazing to me self-publishing, or Independent Publishing as they are now calling it, has become so popular. I love the possibilities it brings and I hope I can consider myself an Indie Author after I get a few more stories done.

Ally: What book are you reading now?

Victoria: I’m reading a book called “Fetish Sex” by Violet Blue. It’s research really.

Ally: Okay…Do you have any advice for other writers?

Victoria: Well considering I’ve written 2,500 words and I’m sailing it out in the world of ebooks as a short story, I’d have to say to other people who want to write and publish their books as ebooks to start thinking about it for 2013. Don’t wait until you have a full book written.

Ally: Why do you say that?

Victoria: Well as you have learned, an ebook can be defined at any length. There is no set limit before you send it off to Amazon. Right?

Ally: That’s true actually.

Victoria: I wouldn’t be taking myself seriously about this had I not published the first story. I want to think of it as a career, not just a hobby. I hope people want to read my stories and I’m really excited about writing more and hearing what they’d like to read about in my series, My Vampire Lover.

Ally: That’s a great way to look at it. Speaking of 2013, what resolutions do you have for the new year?

Victoria: Oh that’s simple. I wanna sell enough books that I can buy a t-shirt that says “My Vampire Lover.” That’s my first resolution. After that, we’ll see how it goes. Maybe I’ll be able to have a giveaway!

Ally: That sounds great! You’re welcome to stop back by and have a giveaway on my blog anytime.

Victoria: Thanks, Ally!

Ally: Before I forget, can you tell us when your second story will be out?

Victoria: I’m hoping for December 1st. If this goes as planned, I’d like to release a story at the first of each month!

Ally: That sounds great! Do you have an excerpt you can share with us today?

Victoria: You bet! This is the final scene actually in the first story. Of course because I have a extreme love for vampires, Caroline gets bitten by her vampire lover straight away. It ends with the question of whether she makes it or not after he bites her.
